In order to be accepted as a Hair Boss University™ Alumni you must submit an online application.

You must meet all of the criteria below:

• You have enrolled for at least 3 months
• You are currently apart of the HBU Facebook community
• You have watched & completed the entire course on the HBU Portal
• Provide 6 best upstyling works: These pictures:
• Must be 6 different signature looks taught by Cara. You can choose any looks you would like to recreate.
• Must be of high quality images & edited
• Must be your best attempts 
• Provide BEFORE & AFTER images of your upstyles before you have joined HBU verses what you’ve achieved after joining HBU. This will help Cara see the extent of your improvement and add bonus points to your score 😉. Please put 2 images side by side in 1 photo. (5 bonus points per photo submitted)
• Maximum 3 before & after photos can be submitted.

Optional:

• Your official testimony for HBU: (5 bonus points)
• describing your experience/ what you’ve learned and your transformation through this course.
• A short 2 minutes video testimony: (10 bonus points)
• Landscape view (not portrait)
• Your camera should be stationary or mounted to reduce shaking
• Have a clean background or a background of your hair studio
• Start by introducing yourself: Your name and what city and county you are from.
• You may say whatever you feel in your heart.
• Upload your file on the online form.

Of course you don’t have to. These are totally optional!

But it will be nice for Cara to hear how HBU have impacted you. If someone have made a big impact in our lives, don’t we just want to shout from the roof top of how amazing this person is?! 🤷‍♀️

At the end of the day, Hair Boss University™ want to impact and influence as many hairstylists as possible to improve their skills and make a good living out of what they love doing. And if Cara knows she has made a difference in your life, it will really make her day! Feel free to share anything in your heart.

As for the video testimony, we understand not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera, which is totally fine. But if you would like to share your message visually, we would love to see it. It will also help other prospective students see the changes the current students have had and decide if this course will help them get closer to their career goal.

1. You will receive a certificate to recognise your hard work. Either the Bronze, Silver or Gold level, depending on your score :) 

2. You will receive an exclusive gift from Cara sent to your nominated address. (If your country has border restrictions and we cannot send you the physical gift, we will organise something else for you).

3. You will be listed on our Hair Boss University™ Alumni wall (on HBU website) as one of the outstanding students from the program. This will give you exposure to other industry creatives and potential clients.

Cara will review all application under the same scoring process.

• Each hairstyle will receive a score out of 10.
• Each before & after picture submitted will receive 5 points.
• Based on your before & after pictures, Cara will reward you with more bonus points for the extent of your improvements - scored out of 10.
• If you choose to include a testimony for HBU you’ll receive 5 bonus points.
• If you choose to include a 2 minute video testimony for HBU you’ll receive 10 bonus points.

Maximum Possible score is = 100

You must score at least 50 points to be accepted as Hair Boss University™ Alumni.

You may receive 1 of 3 certificates based on your score.

• 50 - 59 points: ➡️ CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION 👍
• 60 - 75 points: ➡️ CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE 🏅
• 76 - 100 points: ➡️ CERTIFICATE OF OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT 🏆

If you have all the information ready, the application should take about 15 minutes to complete online.

Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by Cara. You will receive an email regarding the outcome of your application within 14 days.

If you have not been accepted:

Please take on the feedback, practice some more and resubmit your application again in 4 weeks. We want you to practice to really perfect the styles.

If you have been accepted:

You will be sent a congratulations email with an electronic certificate and the link to claim your physical gift. 🥳

All the hairstyles need to be upstyles as the course is all about upstyles. They need to be as close to the hairstyles I teach as possible so preferably no variations.

No there is no deadline. You can submit your application between the 3rd & 24th month since your enrolment. So as long as you've joined for 3 months, you can submit your application. This will be an ongoing program.
